Terms of use

Snapdraft is an iPhone app made by Vadym Suprun. Downloading or using it means you accept what is written here. It is short because the app is small and collects nothing.

The licence

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Snapdraft on Apple devices you own or control, as set out in Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, which applies to this app. You may not reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app itself. Images you make with it are yours.

What you make with it

Everything happens on your device. Your screenshots are never uploaded, and nobody else — including me — ever sees them. You own whatever you export, and you are responsible for what you do with it.

The purchase

Snapdraft is free. There is one optional, one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase, and the only thing it does is remove the small snapdraft.suprun.ca mark from images you save. There is no subscription, nothing renews, and no feature is locked behind it. The price is set per App Store region — the App Store shows the figure for yours.

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. Restoring on a new device is Settings → Restore purchase. Refunds are Apple's to give and are requested at reportaproblem.apple.com — I have no access to your payment details and cannot issue one myself.

Redaction is a tool, not a guarantee

This is the part worth reading twice. Snapdraft blurs what Apple's Vision framework and a set of pattern rules detect. Detection is not perfect: it can miss a phone number in an unusual format, a face at a small size, or text a model reads wrongly. The blur it applies is real — the pixels underneath are destroyed in the exported file, not covered by a movable shape — but only where a blur was actually placed.

Check the preview before you save, and check the saved image before you post it. The app gives you tap-to-remove and drag-to-add precisely because the automatic pass is a first draft. Snapdraft is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, and I am not liable for anything that follows from sharing an image — including one where something sensitive was not detected.

Privacy

There is no data collection to describe. The privacy policy says so at greater length.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the updated version appears on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the change.
